Joshua Alabi hails Mahama’s victory as a milestone for Ghana’s progress
Joshua Alabi, Campaign Manager for President-elect John Dramani Mahama during the December 7 general elections, has described Mahama’s victory as a significant moment that reflects the aspirations of the Ghanaian people.
Speaking in an interview, Alabi highlighted that the electorate’s decision demonstrated their confidence in Mahama’s leadership and vision for national development.
He noted that Mahama’s prior experience as president, combined with his period of reflection outside office, has equipped him with the insight necessary to tackle Ghana’s challenges.
Alabi underscored Mahama’s focus and ability to learn from both his successes and setbacks, as well as the shortcomings of the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
He expressed optimism that Mahama’s leadership would be more impactful this time, as he builds a solid foundation for progress and engages citizens in the governance process.
Mahama secured a decisive win with 6,328,397 votes (56.55%) compared to NPP candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 4,657,304 votes (41.61%).
Alabi stressed that this result is a mandate for inclusive and transformative leadership, reaffirming Mahama’s commitment to addressing Ghana’s pressing issues and fostering sustainable growth.
The campaign manager emphasized that Mahama’s return to power is more than a political victory—it is a testament to his dedication to reshaping Ghana’s future.
