Ellembelle

Deputy Minority Leader and four-term Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, cast his vote at the Aiyinasi Post Office polling station today, expressing optimism about retaining his seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the general election.

Speaking after casting his ballot, Buah expressed optimism about the NDC’s prospects in the ongoing general election.

“As you can see, the people of Ghana are ready and excited about the future. God willing, John Mahama will lead the affairs of this country,” he stated confidently.

Buah expressed confidence in a decisive victory for the NDC, calling it a historic turning point.

“That change is going to be so resounding, so historic, and it will happen even in places we have not imagined,” he remarked.

He also emphasized the importance of credible elections, calling for fairness and transparency in the electoral process.

When asked if he would accept the results regardless of the outcome, Buah stressed the need for electoral integrity.

“The people of Ghana will not accept anything but free, fair, and credible elections,” he declared.

Concerns About Western Region Neglect

The MP also expressed concerns about the neglect of the Western Region over the past eight years under the NPP administration.

He noted the lack of cabinet representation for the region and unfulfilled promises, including poor infrastructure, inadequate healthcare facilities, and economic hardships.

“Over the last eight years, the Western Region has been ignored. We’ve had no representation in cabinet under this government, and almost every promise made to us has not been fulfilled—terrible roads, clinics in disrepair, and economic suffering. This election is a day of liberation not just for Ghana but especially for the Western Region,” he declared.

As voting continues across the country, Buah remains confident that the NDC will secure a decisive victory, both nationally and in Ellembelle.
