Ebusua Dwarfs Operations Director defends GFA bus donations
Dad Simpson, Operations Director of Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, has expressed surprise at criticism from some Division One clubs regarding buses donated by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
During a ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 20, the GFA, under President Kurt Okraku, delivered buses to nine Division One clubs, fulfilling a pledge made during the 2023 Ordinary Congress in Kumasi.
Simpson described the donation as transformative for clubs facing financial challenges. He highlighted its potential to reduce operational costs, especially in transportation logistics.
Using the donated bus, Dwarfs managed a significant cost reduction, halving their fuel expenses for a journey from Accra to Cape Coast compared to their old bus. While noting minor seating adjustments needed for capacity, Simpson welcomed the gesture as a cost-saving initiative for his club.
Despite criticism from some clubs, Simpson reaffirmed Dwarfs’ appreciation for the GFA’s effort, emphasizing its importance in easing financial burdens and improving club operations.
