NDC’s Mustapha Gbande calls on Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama, citing his Christ-Like leadership qualities

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to vote for the party’s Presidential candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming 2024 general election.

In his remarks, Gbande emphasized that Ghana needs a leader with a Christ-like character to effectively govern the country, and he believes that leader is no other than Mahama.

He praised the former president for consistently demonstrating compassion and a deep commitment to the nation’s development, particularly in light of the destruction of the country’s foundations under the current administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP’s 2024 flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Gbande made these comments while accompanying the NDC’s 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for Biakoye Constituency in the Oti Region, Madam Jean-Marie Formadi, on a church tour.

The NDC Deputy General Secretary also took the opportunity to criticize Dr. Bawumia and the Akufo-Addo government for the severe economic hardship they have caused, particularly impacting the most vulnerable segments of society.

He further alleged that the NPP administration is promoting practices such as homosexuality and lesbianism, which he claimed are condemned by God in the Bible. Gbande warned that if the NPP remains in power, the government could introduce controversial social and moral teachings that conflict with Ghana’s cultural, religious, and family values.

“We must reject the NPP and come together to vote for a leader like John Mahama, whose governance is rooted in compassion, love, and Christian principles,” Gbande urged. “Let us show up in large numbers on December 7, 2024, to support Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates who are committed to upholding our values.”
