NDC Western Regional Chairman calls for unity to win Kwesimintsim Seat

Western Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Nana Kojo Toku, has urged party members to unite and intensify campaign efforts to win the upcoming elections in the Kwesimintsim constituency.

He emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve success. Kwesimintsim Constituency, one of 17 in the Western Region, has a sizable voter base of over 50,000 traditionally dominated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stronghold since its creation from the Effia-Kwesimintsim Constituency.

While NDC’s Lawyer Fiifi Buckman garnered 13,385 votes representing 35.09%, In the 2020 general elections, NPP’s Dr. Prince Hamidu Armah secured 24,759 votes representing 64.91%.

Speaking at the campaign launch of the NDC parliamentary candidate, Nana Kojo Toku urged party members to unite and work tirelessly.

Nana Toku emphasized the importance of the collective effort to overturn the voting disparity and secure victory in this year’s elections.

Some National and Regional executives of the party have sounded alarm about the stark underdevelopment of the Kwesimintsim constituency, Despite being a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party.
