The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred during the Awubia Festival in Bereku, Central Region, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
The suspect, identified as Nai Akwasi Lartey, allegedly fired a pump-action gun, injuring one individual at the event.
According to a police report, the injured victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, and the firearm, along with BB cartridges, was confiscated.
The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
