Ghana and France Strengthen Military Ties to Bolster Regional Security

The new French Defence Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Gregoire Nadelin, and the outgoing Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Gildas L’Heritier, recently paid a courtesy visit to Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, Chief of the Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The meeting, held at the General Headquarters, was intended to introduce Colonel Nadelin to the CDS and to enhance the collaboration between the two nations.

Lieutenant General Oppong-Peprah congratulated both officers and praised Lieutenant Colonel L’Heritier for his exceptional efforts in ensuring effective collaboration, particularly in training and intelligence sharing.

The Chief of the Defence Staff also extended his best wishes to Colonel Nadelin for a successful tour of duty and emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation to tackle the increasing threat of jihadist attacks in the West African region.
