Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh also known as NAPO, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has staunchly defended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, affirming that the party’s flagbearer is not corrupt and never will be.
During an interaction with investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, Dr. Opoku Prempeh praised Dr. Bawumia as a man of integrity with a genuine commitment to the country.
NAPO remarks came after receiving a copy of Manasseh Azure’s latest book, The President We Never Had, which details various events during President Akufo-Addo’s administration, including allegations of corruption.
The book also discusses the selection of Dr. Opoku Prempeh as the NPP’s running mate and the behind-the-scenes lobbying that occurred during the process.
Expressing his appreciation for the book, NAPO promised to read it thoroughly and provide feedback, noting his own plans to write books about his experiences as both Education and Energy Minister.
