Effia: Lawyer Boamah vows to secure 70% vote share in 2024 elections

Isaac Yaw Boamah Nyarko, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Effia Constituency, has vowed to transform the constituency into a stronghold for the party in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the launch of his 35-member campaign team in Effia, Takoradi, Mr. Nyarko, a legal practitioner, expressed his confidence that the NPP could secure over 70% of the vote in the constituency.

While the NPP has consistently won the Effia seat with around 60% of the vote, Mr. Nyarko believes this margin is insufficient to firmly establish the constituency as a party stronghold. He is determined to push the victory margin above 70% in the upcoming election.

“I believe Effia has the potential of winning not less than 70%. I have studied the data from all polling stations, and my conviction is that, when the base is convinced and energized, we can bring the party up to not less than 70% for the NPP.”

“I’m pledging as your leader, the next MP of this constituency to give my all to Effia -everything that comes to me. We will maximize our gains just like the Ashanti Region to let the party know what we [Effia] are capable of”, Lawyer Boamah stated.

He pledged his full commitment to the people of Effia, comparing his goals to the party’s strong performance in the Ashanti Region and emphasizing his dedication to maximizing the party’s gains.

Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko also pointed to his ongoing engagement with Effia’s residents, sharing his vision and leadership qualities. He is confident that his message, along with his previous accomplishments, will resonate with voters, making him the best candidate to represent the constituency in Parliament.

Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, who was present at the campaign launch, endorsed Isaac Boamah Nyarko, calling him a reliable and dependable candidate. Mr. Dame, who has known Lawyer Boamah for over 30 years, urged party supporters to unite behind him to ensure the NPP’s success in the upcoming elections.

“I have known him for more than 30 years; we went to the same school. He loves people and that’s a critical attribute of an MP. Effia needs a person who will be their friend, available when needed and that person is Lawyer Isaac Yaw Boamah. One of my reasons for coming out here to support my friend is because he is a helper.”

Mrs. Augustina Cudjoe, the wife of the incumbent MP, represented her husband at the event. She conveyed his gratitude for the support he has received over the years and urged everyone to fully back Mr. Nyarko in the upcoming elections. She also announced a donation of GHS 10,000 from her husband to support Lawyer Isaac Nyarko’s campaign.

“Your MP sends his greetings; he’s gratefeul for your support over the years. He has asked me to admonish you to to fully support Lawyer Yaw Boamah. Hon Joseph Cudjoe is not here because of his role in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team who are touring the nation at the moment. But, he has assured his unwavering support to Lawyer Boamah in winning the general elections. The primaries is over, let’s focus on this election to bring victory.”

The event was attended by several prominent political figures, including Joe Ghartey (long-standing MP for Essikado-Ketan), Andrew Egyapa Mercer (MP for Sekondi and Minister for Tourism, Arts & Culture) and Charles N.O. Bissue (NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan), among others.
