Man remanded for assaulting colleague at Nkawkaw

The Ghana Police Service presented Ayivor Elikplim before the Nkawkaw District Court on Friday, June 28, following his arrest on Tuesday, June 25, for assaulting a female colleague at a financial institution in Nkawkaw.

Elikplim, who initially pleaded guilty to the charges, was convicted based on his own plea and subsequently remanded into police custody.

His sentencing, originally scheduled for June 28, has been postponed to Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The incident gained widespread attention after a video capturing the assault circulated online, depicting Elikplim physically attacking his colleague within an office setting.
