Live media coverage of Anti-LGBT+ bill proceedings begin today
The Judiciary will today open the High Court for live media coverage of proceedings related to the anti-LGBT+ bill.
This follows a previous decision by the Chief Justice permitting media houses to livestream the hearing of Richard Sky’s injunction application on the bill.
The Judicial Service has now extended this openness to all cases pertaining to the anti-LGBT+ bill.
Currently, four cases are being processed at different levels within the court system, with two cases set for hearings at the High Court and the other two at the Supreme Court.
One of the High Court cases will be heard later today in the General Jurisdiction 8 courtroom.
