Singer Sean Kingston has been arrested in California, following a police raid at his Florida mansion which also led to his mother’s arrest.

Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Anderson, faces charges of fraud and theft related to an unpaid TV and sound system.

According to reports, Kingston was apprehended in Fort Irwin, Southern California, on a Florida warrant.

He had previously addressed the situation on social media, stating his lawyers were “handling everything.”

The raid on Kingston’s Florida residence near Fort Lauderdale, as confirmed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the arrest of Janice Turner, Kingston’s mother, on multiple fraud and theft charges.

Officers were seen removing items from the house, though it is unclear if these are linked to the allegations.

The charges stem from a February accusation by Ver Ver Entertainment, which claims Kingston contacted the company in September 2023 to buy a “232-inch Colossal TV and sound system” but only made a small down payment, promising promotional videos with Justin Bieber.

Kingston allegedly failed to pay the remaining balance, leading the company to sue for breach of contract and fraud.

A lawyer for Ver Ver Entertainment told Miami’s Local 10 news that the company hoped to retrieve their property from Kingston’s house post-raid.

Kingston, known for hits like “Beautiful Girls” and “Eenie Meenie” featuring Justin Bieber, assured his followers that he and his mother were “good” and that their lawyers were addressing the situation.
