Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) denies claims of a purported takeover by Sentuo Oil Refinery, refuting allegations of discussions regarding the sale of the national refinery.
ASEPA’s Executive Director, Mensah Thompson, alleged a meeting between TOR management and Sentuo Oil Refinery Ltd to discuss the sale, but TOR emphasized no such talks occurred and no acquisition ceremony was planned.
TOR clarified that Sentuo currently pays for crude oil storage in TOR’s tanks, with TOR handling the pumping back of the oil for refining when needed.
TOR assured stakeholders of transparency, promising to communicate any significant developments promptly.
