Kwesimintsim MP’s Special Aide Highlights Focus on ‘Breaking the Eight’ Ahead of General Elections

Augustine Asiljoe, Special Aide to the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, Prince Hamid Armah, says the party is focusing on making the mantra, of ” breaking the eight” a reality.

The party will not dwell on differences from the January 27 parliamentary elections.

In an interview on Beach FM, he mentions that the party plans to maximize votes in the general elections.

“The most important thing is that we still have the party people who believe in the party and know that we have a solemn course to pursue by breaking the eight, maintaining our members of parliament, and maximizing the vote we had in 2020; that’s what we are working towards.

When you agree to go into public service, you have to take up all the challenges. Of course, this very appointment, yes, people are mentioning the fact that it will last for a few months, and that’s true but you see, three months can make an impact. “

Commenting on the appointment of Dr. Prince Hamid Armah as the Deputy Minister of State-designate in charge of Works and Housing, Augustine mentions that it will aid the constituency’s development as the MP is focused on making an impact with his new office.

He said,” The difference between an MP and a minister is the advantages that come with them. Advantages in the sense that, I know Dr. has chased the Kwesimintsim Basin project that has to do with drainage.

A Minister of State will have to serve the country but would consider it home, and so once we have him for at least 10 months, something he’s pushed, the resources available, now you wouldn’t go sit before someone to plead, but now it falls within your basket.”

You can quickly take the decision, file whatever documentation around it, and have it for your people.”
