On Thursday morning, a tragic incident occurred resulting in the loss of a nurse in his 40s from Bimbilla Hospital, who was fatally struck by a Kia Renault.
The unfortunate event took place as the nurse was returning from his night shift.
According to eyewitnesses, a Benz bus traveling in the wrong direction forced the Kia Renault to swerve, ultimately leading to the fatal accident. Abdulai Yaqoub, the Nanumba North Municipal Chief Executive, confirmed these details to Citi News.
The police have transported the nurse’s body to the hospital morgue, and the drivers involved have been apprehended and are currently in police custody.
However, the driver of the Benz bus has provided a conflicting statement, denying involvement in the incident and claiming to have passed the scene before the collision occurred.
