Bolgatanga Technical University denounces tragic Deputy Registrar killing

The management of Bolgatanga Technical University in the Upper East region expresses deep shock and sorrow over the tragic killing of Mr. Alhassan Azumah, the university’s Deputy Registrar and Director of Public Affairs.

Mr. Azumah was fatally shot by unknown assailants at his residence in Sokabisi, a suburb of Bolgatanga.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Osei Boamah, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university, conveyed the profound pain felt by the management, staff, and students of the institution due to the incident.

The statement strongly condemns the gruesome murder and assures that the Upper East Regional Crime Office is actively investigating the matter.

The management emphasizes that Bolgatanga Technical University remains a safe environment for university activities, emphasizing that the incident is isolated and unrelated to the university’s operations.

They urge staff, students, and the public to remain calm and cooperate with the ongoing police investigation to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
