Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo is urging the Western world to issue a formal apology and provide reparations for the inhumane treatment suffered by Africans during the slave trade.

He emphasizes the need for Africa to be compensated for the human rights abuses endured under slave masters. Speaking at the inaugural Accra Reparation Conference, he states that reparations are essential, and European countries involved in the slave trade should apologize for the crimes committed against Africans.

He asserts that while money cannot fully undo the damage caused by the Transatlantic Slave Trade, addressing this matter is crucial, and the world must no longer overlook it.

Akufo-Addo emphasizes the importance of a formal apology from the European nations connected to the slave trade, acknowledging the historical injustices endured by the entire continent of Africa.
