Inflation rate for October has decreased from 38.1% to 35.2%
For the third consecutive occasion, inflation has seen a decline, registering at 35.2% in October. This marks a decrease of 2.9 percentage points from the September figure of 38.1%.
According to data from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) released by the Ghana Statistical Service on Tuesday, November 14, food inflation was at 44.8%, while non-food inflation stood at 27.7%.
The timing of this release is significant as Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is set to present the 2024 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Wednesday, November 15.
The Government Statistician, Prof. Samuel Kobina Annim, noted that the reduction in inflation is a positive development.
