261 youth empowered by GNPC Foundation through skilled artisan training

261 unemployed youths from the Western Region achieved economic independence after completing GNPC Foundation’s skilled artisan training program in collaboration with the Aseda Foundation in Takoradi.

The graduates, trained in 21 trade disciplines, received startup tools to launch their businesses. They also took the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Examination, sponsored by GNPC, and received soft skills training in business standards and entrepreneurship, including Branding, Customer Relations, Bookkeeping, Marketing/Sales, Attitude to Work, Safety at Work, and Entrepreneurship, facilitated by GNPC and NBSSI.

Dr. Dominic Eduah, the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, affirmed the foundation’s commitment to positively impacting lives through Ghana’s oil resources and ensuring the Western Region receives its fair share of projects.

He highlighted the completion of 162 projects in the Western Region and the foundation’s dedication to continuing in this direction.

Diana Adjei, Chief Executive of the Aseda Foundation, expressed gratitude for the collaborative relationship with GNPC, noting its positive impact on the youth in the Western Region and beyond.

Abdul Mummin Issah, the Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi, commended GNPC Foundation for its impactful initiatives and encouraged graduates to make the most of the investments in their lives and society.
