Paramount Chief Of Anhwiaso Calls For Cooperation Between Mining Companies And Affected Communities
Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, the Paramount Chief of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area, has urged mining companies to cooperate amicably with nearby communities.
In a proactive move, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, the President of the National House of Chief, has invited mining authorities to an important meeting that is set for Monday, November 6, 2023.
Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II took advantage of the occasion to address concerns about the continuing mining operations in the area, stressing the significance of making sure that the communities that are impacted by the mining process are protected.
” I have invited the mining authorities for a meeting on Monday. I can see they have started pulling down some houses. I want to make sure they have put all measures in place to secure the safety of the affected communities before they proceed,” Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II said.
The paramount chief also urged community members, local government officials, mining companies, and other interested parties to band together and support the municipality’s expansion and development.
“We need development here, and I will call for all hands on deck. This is a collaborative responsibility,” Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II added.
