During talks with Equatoguinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema in Moscow, both leaders pledged to enhance bilateral relations.
President Putin emphasized the substantial investment potential and the capacity of Equatorial Guinea to develop these relations, with a primary focus on the extraction of mineral resources.
Equatorial Guinea, a small central African nation rich in oil, possesses a variety of mineral resources, including gold, diamonds, uranium, and gas.
President Nguema welcomed Russian companies’ interest in investing in his country and expressed gratitude for Russia’s decision to reopen its embassy in Equatorial Guinea.
