The Greater Accra Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that schools will be open on Thursday and Friday in the region.
This decision comes as a revision to the earlier announcement of the closure of shops, offices, and schools during the funeral ceremonies for the late Ga Manye Naa Dede Omardru III, which will now take place from Thursday to Saturday.
In light of the recent revision made on Tuesday, the closure of shops, schools, and offices has been limited to Saturday only. The GES, in an official statement, declared the initial decision by the Ga Traditional Council as invalid and void.
