W/R: Damaged Bridge At Butre Fixed

Residents within the communities of the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region have heaved a sigh of relief after a popular bridge in the Butre community connecting the area has been fixed following its collapse after severe floods.

The bridge connecting several communities collapsed during the rainy season, therefore preventing the movement of goods and services.

It is anticipated that all isolated farming villages affected by the centre bridge collapse will recover.

The CEO of Southy Contacted Limited, the organization that facilitated the repair of the Bridge, Kofi Yalley, stated that it was a component of their corporate social responsibility.

He encouraged other local businesses to follow the bright example.

The Chief of Butre, Nana Butsia II, commended the contractors for the kind gesture.
