Kwabena Okyere Darko, MP for Takoradi Constituency and Western Regional Minister, expressed his sincere gratitude to the National Planning Committee for choosing the region to host this year’s historic event.

He claims that the Western area has made a substantial contribution to Ghana’s agricultural development throughout the years, stating that the region generates 98% of the nation’s rubber, 80% of its coconuts, 35% of its oil palm, and 1.5 million metric tons of cassava yearly.

“It is not surprising we have been selected to host this year’s event and we promise it is going to be one of the best celebrations of farmers in the history of the nation.”
