An attack on two buses in Pusiga, located in the Upper East Region, has resulted in the tragic deaths of nine individuals.
According to sources, the attackers blocked the buses as they were traveling from Cinkaasi in neighboring Togo to Bawku.
The incident occurred at the Gbewaa College of Education police barrier, where the assailants opened fire on the buses.
Security agencies are currently present at the scene to assess the situation, while the identities of the victims remain undisclosed by the Police. T
The motive behind the attack is unclear, although it transpired during a period of heightened tension in the Upper East Region, marked by clashes between different ethnic groups in recent months.
In response to the attack, the injured individuals have been swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while the deceased have been taken to a morgue.
