Former colonial power France has been charged by the military junta in Niger with attempting to destabilize the country.
According to the report, a French aircraft violated the country’s closed airspace.
In order to attack military targets, it also claimed that French soldiers had released jihadists who had been captured.
The French government has not yet responded.
Mohamed Bazoum, the legitimately elected president of Niger, was ousted at the end of last month, and since then, the coup leaders have resisted diplomatic efforts to end the crisis.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed to have spoken with Mr. Bazoum and given him assurances of continued support.
The regional bloc Ecowas, which had threatened military intervention, is scheduled to meet on Thursday to discuss its next course of action.
