Adisadel College: The education directorate calls in students present during the assault for questioning
Certain students from Adisadel College in Cape Coast, who were witnesses to a disturbing incident where one student assaulted another, as shown in a viral video, have been summoned by the Regional Education Directorate for questioning.
Following the incident, the responsible final-year student has been suspended, and the school has established a board to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Moreover, the Housemaster of Quaque House, where the assault occurred, has also been suspended temporarily while investigations are underway.
Based on the recommendations of a committee assigned by the school to investigate the incident, it has been decided that the culprit will serve his suspension and then be allowed to take his final exams at WEAC. On the other hand, the victim will be relocated from the house where the incident occurred to write the WASSCE on the school premises.
Despite the ongoing investigation, the Regional Directorate of Education has not yet determined the root cause of the incident.
Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan, is currently present at the school to monitor the situation closely.
