Some flood victims within the Tarkwa -Nsuaem Municipality Assembly have received relief items from Goldfields Ghana.
Heavy rains which resulted in flooding led to some health, safety, and social implications
Items including roofing sheets, bags of cement, students’ mattresses, and a variety of medications were presented to them.
According to the Project Manager of Goldfields Foundation, Sandra Deladem Woanyah, a request came through to them to assist with relief items, thus the donation.
The MCE for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Benjamin Kessie, thanked the team for the benevolence and added that the Assembly would ensure the distribution of items would get to the victims.
A technical team made up of Anglo Gold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine, Ghana Manganese Company, Goldfields Ghana, and other relevant entities took it upon themselves to proffer relief interventions.
