US tech billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg is being trained by mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Israel Adesanya, a Nigerian-born fighter.

It comes ahead of a potential fight between the head of Meta, the company that owns  Facebook and Instagram, and his rival Elon Musk, the South African-born businessman who currently owns Twitter.

Adesanya shared some images of the pair working out together along with the caption, “We both have South Africans to deal with”.

In a September Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight match, the 33-year-old fighter—who was born in South Africa but moved to New Zealand as a child—will face South African Dricus du Plessis.

According to news reports, Adesanya arrived at Mr. Zuckerberg’s home in northern California on Saturday to begin their training sessions.

Last month, Mr. Musk, 52, and Mr. Zuckerberg, 39, reached an online agreement to engage in a cage match.

The fight’s date has not yet been determined, but the two are currently engaged in a different dispute because Meta just last week launched a Twitter alternative.

More than 70 million users have already signed unto the Threads app.
