Bernhard Lippert, Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has criticized the negative narratives and actions of Ghanaians and pointed to these characteristics as problems that hamper the GFA’s operations.
In his speech at the GFA’s launch of the Ghana Football Philosophy (DNA) to define Ghanaian football, he delivered this unforgiving verdict.
The Ghana Football DNA was developed over a two-year period, with the process beginning in the wake of Lippert’s appointment in 2020.
It will serve as Ghana Football’s coaching and playing philosophy.
The Ghana Football Philosophy is to recognize “how we play, the current trends in football, our strengths and weaknesses, and an implementation plan to get to where we want to be with our game”.
The German football expert, however, thinks Ghanaians must adopt a positive outlook in order for this philosophy to be properly applied.
“One of the biggest challenges especially for our GFA is a lot of negativity here in the country. I will beg all stakeholders to implement such a thing like this to help each other to be positive. Media people there is too much negativity. Give solutions, be positive, work together…we have to come closer together to get these things done”, Lippert said.
