Body of one more Daboase SHTS student retrieved after libation
In the aftermath of the tragic drowning incident over the weekend involving three first-year students from Daboase Senior High and Technical School, the body of a third victim has been recovered.
Richard Baidoo was one of seven students who disregarded school regulations and ventured out to swim in the Subri River.
Regrettably, due to the river overflowing its banks as a result of continuous rainfall, three students lost their lives in the drowning incident.
On the same day, a combined team of police and fire personnel successfully retrieved the bodies of two victims, Christian Dennis Acquah and Lesley Nana Yaw Ampong.
Despite their continued efforts the following day, the search team was unable to locate the third victim.
On Monday morning, traditional libation ceremonies were conducted, and at precisely 10:44 am, the third victim’s body was discovered, as confirmed by fire personnel to Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson.
The retrieved body has been transported to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital Morgue for further procedures.
