Sanctuary Montesorri School Hands Over Newly Built Kitchen To Anaji Estate Key Primary/KG
The Sanctuary Montesorri has supported the Anaji Estate Key Primary and KG with a newly built kitchen facility to improve the school’s food safety and cooking environment.
This kind gesture took place at the premises of Anaji Estate Key Primary/KG when the project was outdoors and officially handed over to the school’s management.
The facility included 3 burner stoves, a cylinder and a table.
According to the school’s Proprietor, Rev Prosper Asamoah, this was a way of demonstrating and making the students appreciate the value of “giving” as a tenet of the Christian faith.
” We want to inculcate the value of giving in our children. These values that we teach the children will heal them to give when they grow up. As a Christian school, these are things that we teach in our children, not only in academics,” He said.
He used the opportunity to appreciate the school’s management, parents and all other stakeholders who contributed towards the project’s success.
The Director of Education at EKMA, Madam Katherine Biney appreciated the kind gesture. She urged other benevolent organisations to support the government’s effort towards quality education since the government cannot do it alone.
” Usually we think, it’s a government school and everything should be on the government forgetting that education has stakeholders. We are saying that the Ghanaian child needs to be treated well. So if anyone thinks he/ she has a way of supporting and building a holistic education, that person is welcome,” Madam Katherine stated.
For her part, Beatrice Donkor, Headmistress of Anaji Key Estate Primary School recounted the bad state of the previous kitchen and was hopeful that the new facility will go a long way in helping the school to deliver its mandate
