Nogokpo: Deadline for Archbishop Agyinasare elapses today

Today is exactly 14 days since the founder and leader of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Aginasare, received a two-week ultimatum from the chiefs and elders of Nogokpo in the Volta Region.

In response to his speech at the Supernatural Summit held at the Perez Chapel headquarters in Accra on May 25, 2023, the traditional leaders asked for his presence in peace negotiations.

Archbishop Agyinasare delivered a sermon regarding heavenly protection and the presence of evil powers during the meeting.

In order to demonstrate his lessons, he related a story about how his team came under spiritual assault after holding a crusade in the Volta Region. His remarks attracted a lot of attention and drew ire from several people in the public.

A press conference was held at the Royal Palace of the Dufia of Nogokpo, Torgbui Saba V, to address the matter.

The chiefs expressed their dissatisfaction and demanded that Archbishop Agyinasare appear within the allotted time.

They claimed he made disparaging comments about Nogokpo, calling it the “demonic headquarters of the Volta Region.”

The chiefs highlighted Nogokpo’s historical significance by pointing out how Ghana’s first president, Osagyfo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, requested supernatural assistance from Torgbui Zakadza during the fight for independence.

In order to rectify the damage that Archbishop Agyinasare’s statements caused and to advance peace and understanding, the chiefs requested a resolution.

They stressed the importance of recognizing and respecting the cultural and spiritual heritage of Nogokpo.

The ultimatum aimed to create an opportunity for dialogue and reconciliation between the religious leader and the community.

The residents of Nogokpo eagerly await Archbishop Agyinasare as the due date draws near, hoping for a positive exchange that will promote unity and respect.

Both parties have not held any public discussions thus far.

According to social media searches, the Archbishop has recently been on official business in the US.

This includes a meeting with representatives of the US President’s administration, according to his most recent posts.

Some Ghanaians are unsure of what will happen now that the deadline has passed.
