Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reaffirmed his commitment to driving Ghana towards a higher level of transformation and economic development if he becomes president.

After submitting his presidential nomination form at the party headquarters in Accra, Dr. Bawumia addressed enthusiastic party supporters, expressing his determination to change the fortunes of the country under his potential presidency.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized his intention to build upon the strong foundation laid by the current administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He stressed the need to move Ghana to the next level by leveraging technology, data, and systems for inclusive economic growth. His vision includes making Ghana the digital hub of Africa, bridging the digital divide, and utilizing digital technology and artificial intelligence to transform sectors such as healthcare, education, and public service delivery.

During his speech, Dr. Bawumia highlighted his unwavering dedication to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghana throughout his 22-year journey in politics. He reflected on his tenure as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana during the Kufuor era and his continuous support for the party during years in opposition and in government. Dr. Bawumia emphasized his loyalty to the party and government, stating that he has never wavered or slacked in his commitment to their ideals.

Having worked tirelessly for the NPP and Ghana over the years, Dr. Bawumia expressed his readiness to take on the responsibility of presidency. He cited his track record of performance as Vice President and his determination to continue serving the party and the country with dedication and loyalty.

As Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia sets his sights on the presidency, he envisions a future Ghana that embraces technological advancements and leverages them for the betterment of society. With his passion for driving economic growth and transformation, he aims to steer the country towards a prosperous and digitally-driven future.
