The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, who had previously served as the caretaker minister for the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), handed over a note to the Sector Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Madam Lariba Zuweira Abudu, at a brief meeting that was held after she was appointed the Substantive Minister.
Madam Cecilia Dapaah expressed her gratitude to the Minister (who at the time served as the Deputy Minister) and Management for their assistance and support while she served as the Caretaker Minister at the Ministry.
She tasked the ministry’s administration to provide the same assistance to the minister and her Deputy as they worked to fulfil the mission of the MoGCSP and improve the organization’s reputation.
Hon. Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu, for her part, expressed her sincere gratitude to Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah for mentoring her and making a significant contribution to the development and success of the Ministry throughout her term.
“I will work in tandem with my deputy, the chief director, and management to see that the president’s goal of making sure that no one is left behind is realized,” She stated.
The Chief Director, Dr Afisah Zakariah, the Deputy Minister, Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, and a few Heads of Department were in attendance.
