Keda Ceramics Presents 20,000 Cheque Towards Refurbishment Of Western Regional Press Center
Keda Ceramics Ghana Limited, within the Shama District of the Western Region, has donated an amount of Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis towards the refurbishment of the Press Center of the Western Regional Chapter of the Ghana Journalists Association, GJA.
This followed an appeal by the Association to the company to aid in the renovation of the run-down centre and make it congenial for journalists.
Presenting the cheque, the Commercial Manager, of Keda Ceramics, David Wei pledged the company’s readiness to assist in putting the centre into shape. He indicated the company aims at impacting positively on its area of operations and having good partnerships.
The Human Resource Manager of Keda Ceramics, Dr David Yevugah acknowledged the contributions of journalists in the development of the country.
He said, ” We know the works of the journalist have seen some advancement in the country, especially with the practice of democracy.
We considered your request because we knew this is the only way we could also help. We will readily be of help when the need arises.”
Western Regional Chairman of the GJA, Desmond Cudjoe was happy about the gesture and called on other institutions to follow suit.
” We are thankful for this gesture, indeed you have honoured your promise. Two Hundred Thousand cedis have been received and we appeal to others to come and support this project. Journalists can only work in a free and conducive environment,” He said.
