The leadership of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union, TEWU -of- TUC has welcomed a directive from the National Labour Commission to the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to get a clear response from the Ministry of Finance on the payment of Professional Development Allowance to the members of Ghana Education Service, GES – TEWU.

At a hearing which has a representative of the Ghana Education Service, the Commission gave the directive.

The General Secretary of TEWU, Mark Denkyira-Korankye has been speaking on the National Labour Commission directive and urged members to exercise patience to see the outcome in the next two weeks.

” This matter has travelled for over 2 years, our patience is running out and our members are on the urge to wait for some actions to be taken.
