Producer Price Inflation Drops To 50.8 Percent

Producer Price Inflation hit 50.8 per cent in February.

According to this rate, the producer inflation rate decreased by 1.7 percentage points from the rate of 52.6 per cent recorded in January 2023 to 50.8 per cent between February 2022 and February 2023.

During January 2023 and February 2023, there was a 7.0 per cent month-to-month change in the PPI.

From 58.8 per cent in January 2023 to 57 per cent in February 2023, the industry sector’s producer price inflation decreased.

Accommodation and food, transportation and storage service activities, mining and quarrying, electricity, gas, and manufacturing all recorded rates above the national average.

The information and communication sector recorded the lowest rate of 4.5 per cent in February 2023.
