Ghana Has Drastically Regressed In The Past Six Years – John Dramani Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has said, the country has not made any notable development during the last six years.

Mr Mahama made this statement during a campaign tour at Dormaa East in the Bono region where he interacted with some delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of their presidential and parliamentary primaries scheduled for  Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Former President Dramani observed that the lives of people and businesses were better as compared to six years ago.

“In the last years, everything has gone back. Looking into your life, you will attest to this and I will not be the one to tell you.

“You do not make any profit on your businesses but tax collectors are after you to pay taxes. How do you pay taxes if your work does not bring any profit,” He stated.

According to him, in 2016 people’s lives were better because they could support their families through their companies, but today’s situation is worse, which is why Ghanaians are pleading with the NDC to intervene and save the country.

“I remember in 2016, everybody was making some profit that helped them support their families but today, things have gone bad and this is why Ghanaians are calling on us to come and save them because governance has now turned into family and friends with corruption being the order of the day,” He added.
