Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has mentioned that the house is ready to assist government address the economic challenges confronting the country.
He urged the Finance Minister to count on Parliament to assist him to do a better job.
Mr. Bagbin remarked in his closing comment after Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta briefed the house on the domestic debt exchange program.
He observed that greed, ignorance, and waste account are some of the major challenges thatneeds to be tackled.
” I am fully aware that members know the challenges that we have in this country.
Major challenges such as waste, major challenges such as ignorance, and major challenges such as greed.
And this house will properly position to assist any government to reduce these things, waste, greed, and ignorance. We know how to do it, and we are elated to do so. So we can always support you to do the job,” He said.
Mr. Bagbin touted that the house would assist the Finance Minister to do a better job than before.
