On Friday, February 9, 2023, Pensioner Bondholders continued in their picketing outside the Ministry of Finance to press the government to exempt their funds from the government’s Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).
On the fifth day of their demonstration, they were joined by a Former Chief Justice named Sophia Akuffo, who was holding a sign that stated, “We use our bond yields to pay rent, medical costs, energy bills, and water bills.”
