The President of the National Canoe Fishermen Council, Jojo Solomon says, the hike in fuel supply is affecting the entire fishing community.
He expressed frustration to the media, saying that the erratic supply and high cost of fuel have resulted in the high cost of fish on the market.
The National Premix Secretariat is to resume the supply of premix fuel to artisanal fishing communities after 5 month break.
The Secretariat attributed the break to the high cost of fuel and the depreciation of the local currency.
The administrator of the Premix Secretariat, Nana Abrokwa Asare reveals that they are working with the Ghana National Gas Company to ensure the fishing communities receive a supply of premix fuel at a subsidized price in the coming days.
