Work Together To Build Economy – ACEPA to Parliamentarians

Executive Director of Africa Center for Parliamentary Affairs ( ACEPA), Dr. Rasheed Draman has urged the Minority and Majority in Parliament to work together in building the economy.

He made this comment on the back of controversy generated by the government debt exchange program

He requested the Members of Parliament to focus on what is expected of them as representatives of the people as the house resumes in the coming days.

Dr. Draman in an interview hopes the government will listen to the cry of Ghanaians and quickly address the economic challenges.

“I think what is on everybody’s mind is the Debt Exchange Program and the financial challenges.

I believe that given that they are representative of all of us, I believe that is what they are going to focus on.

We are in a mess and difficulty but I think we need suggestions and ideas on how to get out of the mess.

I think the Minority has a duty to all of us to proffer some solutions in terms of how these situations can be remedied, and most importantly I think the government must also put itself in a posture where it will listen to the voices of the citizenry through our representatives so that at the end of the day we can get our country moving again,” He mentioned.
