ICode Ghana Organises Job Fair in Takoradi

A Digital Job Fair has been held for job seekers and entrepreneurs in the Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolis.

The event was organised by ICode Ghana on the theme; Building a resilient Data Scientist For the Job Market,” with a focus on empowering young people to have a share in the technology space.

Addressing the media, the Skills Officer, Ruth Ekua Eryam Quarm stated that there’s a need to equip individuals with employable skills in the digital space.

According to her, the tech industry is full of opportunities that young people can tap into and create jobs for themselves and others.

As part of the training, patrons were taken through leadership skills sessions and were given the skills in writing an employable curriculum vitae (C.V)

A trainer with Afrolynks Hub, Edward Ackah-Armah reiterated that there are endless opportunities for individuals to tap in and entreated job seekers to endeavor to equip themselves with technological skills.
He urged individuals to “implement what they learn” and that will enable them to build on their set skills, and expose them to potential investors.

He admonished the organisers to make it a point to showcase a tech-related prototype for patrons to appreciate the concept of technology advancement better.

iCODE GH is an innovation hub that is focused on skill acquisition, youth engagement and innovation. They also train people to build businesses with feasible ideas and provide funding. They support the growth of members in our community through networking and capacity building.
