Wolves appoint former Spain and Real Madrid boss “Julen Lopetegui “as new head coach

Since October 2, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC has been without a head coach. Steve Davies have acted as an interim coach.

Confirmed on the club’s website, Julen Lopetegui is now the newly appointed head coach of Wolverhampton.

However, it is stated that his official duties will commence on Monday, 14th November, 2022. Wolves will use the period between now and 14th to work on the Spaniard’s work permit. Till then, interim coach Steve Davies will continue with his responsibilities.

Chairman Jeff Shi recounted:
“Julen is a top coach, with excellent experience at an elite level of the game, and we are very pleased to have agreed a deal to bring him to Wolves.

“Since the very beginning, Julen has been our number one choice to manage Wolves, and we look forward to welcoming him and his team when they join us in the coming weeks.”
