Tottenham Hotspur ‘s Away Struggles
Tottenham may be having an excellent runs at their iconic Tottenham Hotspur stadium, the opposite is their away game performances especially in the Champions League.
The Lillywhites have recorded just one win in their last six appearance in the competition, a thread they won’t be elated about.
Tomorrow evening, they will be hosted by Marseille at the Stade Orange Velodrome in France. A game that must be won by the North London Club despite they topping the group with 8points. Any result other than a win, coupled with a win or draw in the game between Frankfurt and Sporting CP might make them settle for Friday and Thursday night football.
The host, Marseille, on the hand haven’t had a smooth run with their recent performances either. The best result of the French side in their last four games have been a draw. However, per ‘Spurs’ away form, Antonio Conte and his boys cannot go into this game with an ease heart. Also, in the previous meetings between these clubs, it took two last minute headers from Richarlison for Spurs to overcome Marseille side that was handicapped by a man down after C. Mbemba 47′ red card.
Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur will start on a cleansheet with the match winner of the previous encounter unavailable due to calf injury.
Will Conte and his men be caught in their web, or they will overcome their distasteful past?
Kickoff is at 8:00pm.
