Ghanaian based rapper Micheal Owusu Addo, known in the entertainment industry as Sarkodie has admitted how shameful he is for not making it to Nana Ampadu’s Funeral.

The multiple award-winning hip hop rapper Sarkodie in his twitter post expressed how hurt and ashamed he is for not making it to the legendary highlife musician Nana Ampadu’s funeral which took off last Saturday.

According to him,he was having the funeral details in mind and no excuse makes sense to even myself missing all these legends funerals.

Sarkodie who has an unleash song with the late highlife musician legendary Nana Ampadu advised himself to do better next time by attending every legend funeral.

He posted

Ashamed and hurt for not making it to the Legend Nana Ampadu’s funeral … Uncle David Dontoh told me about it last Sunday… Crazy how I had it on my mind from then and still missed it but all the same Rest In Peace Grandpa May the almighty keep you safe.

No excuse makes sense to even myself missing all these legends funerals.. Need to do better

A prominent highlife music composer and performer from Ghana named Nana Kwame Ampadu is credited with writing over 800 songs. Adwomtofo Nyinaa Hene was another name for him. Ampadu was the “African Brothers Band’s” lead vocalist, chief songwriter, and bandleader.

Nana Ampadu funeral was held on Saturday October 8, 2022 at the forecourt of the State House. The highlife musician died on on September 28, 2021 at the age of 76.

In attendance were President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo; the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin; the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare; Ministers of State; Members of Parliament; a former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, and the clergy.
