The District Chief Executive (DCE)of Ellembele, Kwesi Bonzo who was detained by the Police for alleged obstruction over the controversial missing excavators’ saga has been granted bail.
He is expected to appear before the Takoradi Harbour Circuit today, September 8, 2022.
Mr Bonzo has been charged with five counts. The charges , he will face are conspiracy to assault, resisting arrest, assault and two others.
The four other accomplices who were also arrested with the DCE, we’re however not granted bail.
Mr Bonzo’s lawyer, Salome Erica Abakah spoke to Beach Newsroom after his release.
The lawyer for the DCE was earlier denied access to her client.
