President Akuffo Addo’s Decision Not To Reshuffle Ministers Is Influenced By Propaganda- Professor

The Professor of Leadership and Management, Viterbo University, Professor Enoch Antwi says the government’s decision not to reshuffle ministers is influenced by propaganda and the absence of the right information relayed to the President.

He believes that the people closest to the President are failing to disclose real situations to the President.

“I think the President is trapped by propaganda and not well-informed by the people around him. I believe if he wasn’t a president he will be previewed to most happenings in the country. As the president most information must be relayed to you. Some end up editing most parts of these reports presented to the president, a clear instance is the reshuffle situation,” He said.

Professor Antwi is of the view that over 80 per cent of the President’s appointees are not up to the task.

He mentioned that the President’s decision would have a diverse effect on the country looking at the rating from S&P Global.

Professor Antwi added that the rating outlook would not favour the country when soliciting loans from donor countries.

He said the state of the economy, agriculture, rail and some major suggest the current Ministers have run out of ideas and must be changed.

He is, therefore, calling for the termination of the appointment of none performing ministers.

“Some ministers are just square pegs in round holes who are inefficient for the job assigned to them. They lack the expertise to carry out their duties. These ministers should be sacked rather than being reshuffled.

Most of them must be sacked out of office because clearly some of them are not up to the task. They are just enjoying taxpayers’ money,” He added.
