The Finance Minster, Ken Ofori Atta presenting the 2022 Mid-Year Budget yesterday in Parliament mentioned that the government is working to complete 5 district hospitals in the Western Region by the end of the year.
He noted in his presentation that, work has commenced in 87 out of the 111 projects which are at various stages of the construction.
Mr Ofori Atta mentioned that the construction of a district hospital and five polyclinics are to be completed in Akotombra, Nsuaem, Wassa Dunkwa, Elubo, Mpohor and Bogoso to help bridge the gap in the delivery of healthcare.
“The majority of the contractors at the various sites, we are well on course to bridge the health inequality gap and strengthen the health system nationwide.”
